Chaplain John G. Fleischmann has been a pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, East Moriches, NY since 1991. He is also a New York State Paramedic, and an Approved Instructor for the International Critical Incident Stress Management Foundation. He served as a police chaplain for the Port Authority of NY and NJ from 1997-2002 and currently serves as a chaplain for the Southampton Town Police. He is one of the directors of the Suffolk County Emergency Services Critical Incident Stress Management Team for Fire and EMS, having begun his work with them in 1990. He provided pastoral services to responders during the recovery of TWA Flight 800, July 1996, and worked extensively as a Chaplain with the Port Authority Police during the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center.

He is married and has three grown daughters.
